What Are You Doing, Tia?

I have the most beautiful, wonderful, handsome almost-6-year-old nephew in the world. Just speaking truth.

I called my brother today, and he answered on speaker-phone as usual. In the background, I heard my little nephew Joaquin say "Hi Tia (which means AUNT in Spanish)".

Children and their questions. They are truly amazing.

"Are you doing what you want today?" my little nephew asked.

Honestly, I was taken aback by his question. "Am I doing what I want?"

Now that's a great question.

Where are we spending our time, and our we spending our time in doing what we really want to be doing in this journey of life?

As the pastor at my church shared in sermon a few weeks ago, what are we doing with the dash, you know, the dash that separates our birth date from our unknown departure date?

My nephew's question made me very conscious of how I spent my time today. I took a friend lunch on the job, took down my Christmas lights (actually, I stayed inside while another friend took them down), and have been working on a business plan. I also spent time working through an issue regarding my pool pump. Some things I wanted to do, other things I knew I had to do.

I then posed the question back to my nephew.

He said he wasn't doing what he wanted to be doing today, because what he really wanted to do was work on his new Transformer project.

What a wonderful life, right?

Whatever your day is/was filled with, I hope it is something that you love, something that inspires you. If not, there is always this moment and tomorrow to make it happen.

  2. Dr Oz POST

Dr OZ says we can live to be 150---if we understand how to take care of ourselves.
Our biology dictates it is possible.
And he means healthy like a 40 or 50 yr old!

Our DNA strands have tips on them like the tips on a shoelace.. (trivia---do u know what that is called) We lose the tips little by little, till gone from stress mostly.

Then the DNA strand frays, and without cap, the cells cannot reproduce--especially the stem cells which are found in your bone marrow. they continually replenish you, and make you someone new again.

{I know from another source, that our cells need proper nutrition and other factors in order to reproduce healthy to healthy cells. If they are damaged, unhealthy,or weak cells, they
will reproduce more weak, sick cells.
    When your body is given nutrient dense foods, sleep and exercise, the sick cells can become strong again and reproduce healthy cells.This means healing in organs, tissues, bones and body!}

What kills us is not cancer, heart disease,
it is this FRAILITY. It's The # 1 reason we cant weather the storms of life.
Stress causes this, and EXERCISE PREVENTS IT !!!!!

    Isnt that interesting?!?!!

well, I better get to bed so I can let my
chromosomes and DNA get some sleep. :)

    g'night!
